Impression Obsession CHA Design Team Blog Hop Day 2

Good Tuesday morning and welcome to day 2 of the 2015 Impression Obsession Spring/CHA Release Blog Hop! The design team will be showcasing some of the new images being introduced this week at CHA! You can visit the Impression Obsession Blog  each day this week for links to the previews. Be sure to leave a comment on each designer's posts throughout the week for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate daily from Impression Obsession.

My project today was made using the Leafy Tree One, Branches of a Tree, Beach Chairs, Small Grass Border, Leaves and Stems and Tiny Flowers

I love making black, white and red projects.  I thought this tree would be so pretty stamped in black on a white background and paired with a silhouette scene made using the beach chair, grass and flowers.  This was a fast and easy project and I love the outcome.

I stamped the tree and sentiment with black versafine.  I attached the tree scene to a black layer and popped it up on the card base with mounting tape.

I attached the grass to the bottom of the scene with thin strips of mounting tape and tucked the flowers and stems in behind the grass with glossy accents.  I thought adding a few red flowers in the tree branches would carry the eye up from the heavy black scene.

  1. Great use of the tree stamp….nice color contrast. I have the chair die and love it….lots of uses, especially for those of us who live in coastal areas. Great post, as always.

  7. Good Morning, Kittie,I love trees. they have a personality of their own, changing with each season. There is peace sitting under a beautiful tree, with a nice book, lemonade, or just talking to friends. Love your concept with the images. the sentiment is perfect, colors too……have a good day.

  8. Great card, as always, Kittie! I’m not an outdoor person at all, but whenever you do a scene with a chair, I always wish I could be sitting there. 🙂

  14. Hi Kittie…. I had to take a taxi to get to the end of your comments… lol.
I love this card…. I sometimes get away from stamping and just play with the dies and this helps to bring the stamps back out for me. I love how clean this card is…. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity……
