Quatrefoil Framed Rose

Good Sunday morning.  I have another flower project to share with you today.  I think the Penny Black Beau Jardin pad is my all time favorite designer paper.  I have used so much of it that I ordered a second one because I hated not to have it for future use.  There are so many pretty floral patterns and they are perfectly sized for card fronts.  I especially love the rose pattern on my card today.

I created an outer and inner frame for the Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil Cutting Plate piece with Nesting Card Templates.  I liked having the extra dimension of the quatrefoil over the rose patterned paper to add another element of interest. I attached the frame to the card base with thin strips of mounting tape. I set the inner frame to show off the triple rose pattern.

I chose to use the darkest pink from the rose pattern for my MFT Rolled Rose.  I actually made two smaller roses but they were too much for my design so I settled on just the large one.  I created a foliage base for the rose using the Memory Box Botanical Stem and added softness by tucking in a few pieces of Fir Sprigs and some stems made using the Wide Tree and 1/8โ€ punched circles.   I integrated additional color around the floral spray by adding 1/8โ€ punched circles on branches of the Wide Tree.

This would be a perfect card for a flower lover or gardener.  Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
