Another Year Ends

My father always said that the older we get the faster time  passes. It certainly is true. This has been an eventful year for me and my family, both wonderful and sorrowful. My husband, Bob and I have been blessed and are getting ready to celebrate our tenth anniversary. Bob has enjoyed his tenth year as an "Audio Genius" working for Micky Mouse’s Epcot as a sound engineer. We lost our wonderful brother, Dan who was married to our baby sister, Jeannie and this broke all of our hearts. As we grieved Dan’s loss we also worried about our Jeannie girl and their son, Sam. Jeannie was promoted to a vice presidency with the National Association of Home Builders and we are all very proud of her accomplishments especially in such a trying year for her. My nephew, Sam made the highest grades ever this term and continues to be on the honor role and has accomplished this even after loosing his father. My older sister, Cynthia is a nurse and has been ill for several months but is finally regaining her health and has been able to return to her work. We are all so thankful.  My brother-in-law Lou, loves teaching at Devry University and made the decision not to retire (he must be crazy). He is incredibly talented and loved by his students. My sister, Cheryl and her husband, Jim have a thriving landscaping business and never seem to stop for a minute. Cheryl is our oldest sister and has been the matriarch of our family since we lost our parents. She is my "go to girl" for all business discussion and advise (….well all kinds of advise) as she is smart and most talented. She also took wonderful care of our baby sister during the loss of her husband.

One of my big thrills this year was to be invited to be a member of the Dirty Dozen Design Team. I have found this experience to be most gratifying and educational for me.  I was also invited to be on the My Favorite Things Design Team and served with them for several months. I am now serving on the Rubbernecker Design Team and enjoying myself so much. These experiences are creating memories for me to treasure as a stamper.  I have felt most honored and complimented.

Happy New Year to each of you.  Enjoy every day and live it to the fullest.  We are not practicing for another life…we are living it today.

How lucky your family is to be blessed with your loving and artistic spirit, you really make the world a MUCH better place Kittie, just by being in it. I have loved your artwork from the minute I laid eyes on it and have been so touched by your creativity! I feel like I can jump right into so many of your scenes and you always put a smile on my face. All the best to you and yours in the New year and always.
