The Limited Supply Challenge on Splitcoaststampers today was to make a non traditional Valentine using no red or pink, no flower stamps and no heart stamps. Now this is where things get tricky for me. I read the challenge early this morning and then didn’t look at it when I came home this evening. I was so intent to make a card with no pink or red and I totally forgot about the no flowers and no hearts. I pulled out my Rubbernecker Sunflower Wreath and thought I was so smart to be using colors that would never be thought of as Valentine colors. Oh well….I failed the challenge rules but the card is to cute not to upload. I used Copic markers to color the image going for matches to brocade, mustard and olive. I love the way this turned out. I added a little bit of Diamond Glaze and sprinkled a slight dusting of glitter to make it sparkle.
Stamps: Rubbernecker Stamp Oasis-Sunflower Wreath and Dottedn BG-Easter
Paper: Brocade, Mustard, White
Ink: Black Brilliance, Brocade, Mustard
Accessories: Punches, Copic Markers, Grosgrain, Distressing Tool, String, Diamond Glaze, Glitter
It’s very hard to do a Valentine’s card without pink or red, but you did good! Great coloring as usual! Jeanne
