My Christmas Mittens

KC Mittens Petite 2 Happy Friday!!! I can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is only a few weeks away.  Where does time go?  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead.

The Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS yesterday was to use some form of pearls.  I decided to play with Liquid Pearls but it really is only a tiny embellishment on this project.

I stamped mittens from Rubbernecker Winter Holiday collection on watercolor paper and painted with reinker.  The center white section of the mittens were painted with White Sharpie Poster Paint pen and the little Xs were touched up with a black glaze pen. I cut the mittens out to pop up on the scalloped circle. I used the Rubbernecker pine sprig to add a little interest for behind the mittens. I stamped the snowflake image on the green base with white craft ink and embossed. I attached twill to the mittens to make them appear hanging and attached them to the circle and then attached a double loop bow to dress it up a little more than a simple single bow.  This was a fun and fast card to make and one that would be easy to mass produce for your Christmas card list.

  1. Oh Kittie! I just love it! The mittens popped up over the pine is just perfect! I love that double-looped bow! Would you share with us how you made it? (I’m totally bow-challenged:(
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Kittie, this is just as sweet as can be! I absolutely love it. Great Rubbernecker images! I must investigate! Very cold here in the midwest today. How does 15 degrees grab you? I’ll bet you wish you were here! LOL
