Christmas Tree and Holiday Home

I have had a great Sunday playing in my stamp room.  First I created a peaceful tree card using Lovely as a Tree.  I love filling in the image with ink and then painting on snow with craft ink.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper and heat set the ink.  I used a dry brush and wiped it directly on the ink pad to pick up the ink and used a stippled motion to apply to the image.  I first filled in with green and then used brown to add the trunk and limbs.  I heat set again and then painted on the falling and ground snow with white craft ink as well as the snow laying on the tree branches and embossed with white embossing powder. I sponged the yellow background around the tree to highlight it. I thought the multi loop gingham bow was the perfect finishing touch.

I had so much fun yesterday playing with the Home Made set and template that I had to make another one today.  The houses are a little time consuming but are very easy.  The instructions that come with the template are very easy to follow.  Believe me….if I can follow them then anyone can as I am template challenged.

I couldn’t resist taking a picture of the two houses together.  Now I am going to have to make a third to create my little Christmas community. I should take these to work and sell them for our Adopt-a-Family charity project but I can’t decide if I can part with them or not. Oh wait……I can always make more.

  1. You know this is absolutely georgous – WOW – it is so fabulous. I have so much to make and to add this? Impossible – for now, I can enjoy your home creation. I already got the stamps but may need to break down to get the template for the house (oh brother!!!). Thank you for sharing this great gift for the “eyes”. I will come to visit the home often……..hugs!

  2. Kittie, both of your houses are some fantastic eye candy and would fetch a pretty penny for the charity. I don’t know if I could part with them though. 🙂
