Oopsy Daisy Inspiration

The SCS Inspiration Challenge today provided us with  Oopsy Daisy Fine Arts For Kids as our inspiration site. I was inspired with Green Love Birds shown below.

I thought this was the perfect opportunity to pull out my punches to create a framed floral spray project with pretty birds and punched flowers. I chose a pretty soft designer paper for the background and another matching piece to create the flowers.  The leaves and foliage are cut from another piece and the birds and card base are made from Soft Sky cardstock.

I layered the background designer paper on the card base and then mounted the white eyelet frame. I used multiple flower layers in different sizes to create my three punched flowers.  I attached the green punched foliage to create the stems and layered on the background.  I created the floral spray at the base of the flowers to create the appearance of a foliage nest. The birds were attached with mounting tape so they would stand up over the foliage.

Here a few other views.

  1. Kittie, this is beautiful, as always. My craft stuff is all packed away right now, but I can’t wait until my husband finally gets my new area finished so that I can “play” anytime I want. It will be worth waiting for.
