Scalloped Frame and Floral Spray

It’s Wednesday and that means we are half way through the work week.  Isn’t it terrible to wish our days away looking forward to the weekend!!!  I have another floral project to share with you today. I made this for the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge.

Here is what I came up with. I really like the two blues together but they were hard to photograph and get the true colors.

I thought a triple matted frame would be great to bring in all three colors for the challenge.  I also repeated all three colors in the flower spray and chose the lighter blue for the embossed background.

I could a picture mounted inside the frame but would possible need a few less flowers.  LOL! Check out the upper right hand side of my home page if you would like to see my punched flower tutorial, my flower spray tutorial and my matted frame tutorial.

  2. Such a soothing palette of blue shades, Kittie. I am still trying to perfect my flowers and just when I think I might have done it, I look at yours and realize that “I’m not quite there”!

  4. Your blog is one of the bright spots in my day. I love seeing your beautiful creations and find them so inspiring. I recently purchased some of the punches you use and I have been having a “playing good time”. When I was still working we called Wednesday “hump day”. Once you get over the hump it is downhill all the way.

  5. Your cards are truly an art. I’ve tried your tutorials and I fail miserably in making my floral displays even remotely look like yours but I’ll keep trying! Thank you for the inspiration…you keep the bar high!! 😉

  7. Very nice! I definitely might make a similar card to this. Would you use a box or an envelope to hand this lovely card to someone?
