Repeat Layout and Rolled Roses

Good Tuesday morning.  I enjoyed the layout I used on my post yesterday and since it is fast and easy and a great after work kind of card I repeated it again for today.  I changed up the color combination and kind of flowers and foliage and it takes on a totally different look.

I know I have told you this several times now but I love the sweet look of rolled roses,  My Favorite Things Rolled Rose and Mini Rolled Rose are my favorites all of all that I have.

I think they are especially pretty paired with the Leafy Flourish and a few pieces of punched fern.  I really like the extra texture and dimension the broader fern brings to my floral sprays.

One problem I have had with the push top punches like the fern punch is that I don’t have much strength in my hands and have avoided them in the past. I have also had trouble with the Martha Stewart lever punches as well when creating multiple pieces.  I recently purchased the Punch Bunch Magnum Power Aid and it is such a wonderful tool.

I can now comfortably punch multiple pieces of foliage, etc. without overworking my hands. The aid is made to use with the push top punches but I used it yesterday to push down the lever on my MS Branch punch.  I wanted to share my experience about this new tool (new to me) with you in case there are those of you who share my issue with hand weakness.

Thanks for looking in today.

  3. Good Morning Kittie,
This is gorgeous. Thanks for introducing the new tool. I use a spandex on my hand for support and to keep my fingers from turning numb. This looks like a very good idea. Will consider it. ……have a good day, hugs and smiles.

  4. Thanks Kittie, for letting us know about this tool. It is just what I need as I have arthritis in my hands and they don’t have much strength. I don’t have much trouble with the small MS lever punches but can’t hardly do the large ones.
I don’t think that I have ever seen a card of your that I didn’t LOVE, and this one is no different. I love your work. Thanks for sharing it with all of us.
