Home For Christmas

Good Sunday morning.  I had a great time this morning creating the front of a Christmas home all decorated and ready for family to come home. I love adding pine and red bows to doors, windows and fences for an old-fashioned holiday touch.

I started by scoring a plain white piece of cardstock to look like siding and attaching to the card base.  I added a thin piece of crimped border to finish off the siding.  I attached the Grand Madison door with rolled glue dots at the top for dimension and flat at the bottom.

I cut the top off the Impression Obsession  door to create the windows and added a blind cut with the border duo 2 die.  I attached to both sides of the door with rolled glue dots. I attached the fence with mounting tape and then attached a deckle cut snowy border to the bottom of the fence. I attached only one side of the gate so I could have it swinging open in welcome.

I finished the scene by adding festive pine bows and single red bows to the fence and windows and a multi loop bow to the door.  You can check out my multi loop bow video tutorial if you would like to see how I make my bows.

  1. Gorgeous card. When you have the time, could you do a tutorial on how you make your siding? I love all your wonderful cards and have copied many of them. You really inspire me! Thank you!
