New Die Cut Blog Banner

I know you may think I have gone pink crazy lately and I guess I have.  I made a scene card for my Saturday post using pink designer paper for my background and a tree with green leaves and pink flowers.  While I had all the stuff on my desk I decided to pull out a few more of my favorite dies and make a new blog banner that reflects the majority of the projects I have been making.

Die Banner Full House Tree

This is a close up of the Impression Obsession house die with the roof line cut with border duo 1.  I used the door and window set for the front of the house and filled the windows with shades matching the roof line.

Die Banner Two Trees

The three trees were made using the bare branch and the new leaf cluster.  I created the larger tree on the left side of the house with the full branch and cut off portions of the branches for the two trees on the right.  I added leaves in different parts of the two smaller trees so they would look different.  I filled the trees with mini pink flowers made using my Memory Box flower mound.

Die Banner Close

I put a layer of the IO grass border on the base of the scene and then mounted the IO fence border in front of it and attached with mounting tape.  I wanted to use the tall sprigs of grass to create a flower hedge filled with several mini pink flowers. I cut and layered the My Favorite Things fresh cut grass along the outer fence line for a clean finish.  I added a few white MB butterfly delights butterflies around the scene for interest.

Die Banner Door Fence Close

I added a tiny floral spray to the front door for the finishing touch.  Could there be any more inviting open gate and front door than this?

I hope you have enjoyed seeing closer views of the banner that show all the dimension and added details. Have a great Sunday.

I loved this card as I do all of your work. I wondered what you used the blue painter’s tape for, the one that’s in your list of ‘ingredients’…lol…..

  5. Hello Kittie:
1st of all thank you for the lovely comments on my blog…I am glad that you liked it. onto your question: I designed very closely my blog, with a lady called Viola Mahr and some drawings are from Deena Perrault, all the info and links to their names are in the section Acknowledgments in my blog…I have very defined ideas of what I wanted, and I told her what to do…she was wonderful in translating exactly all my desires in reality…I choose all the colors, the drawings the layouts etc…and in the process I learned a lot how to do things by myself, she did the initial drawings and now I keep adding what I want and changing accordingly my needs…
As for your card it is always BEAUTIFUL…I love those IO dies, now with all the MB what to do? choices, choices…OMG
Thanks for sharing this with us, today I posted a tutorial on IRis Folding, hope to see you soon…bye
