Good Thursday morning. Welcome to the Impression Obsession design team challenge. Our challenge today is Springtime Fun.
For my project I used the Bare Branch, Leafy Branch 2, Border Duo 1, Bunny Set, Butterfly Set, Leaf Cluster, Grass Tall, Layered Floral Set, and Cloud Set
There was no way I could create a “springtime fun” card for this challenge without using a bunny, butterflies and flowers. I decided to go with an extra touch of sweetness by creating a fence with a decorative border.
I cut the bare branch and leaf clusters (I love the leaf clusters), formed the leaves with my stylus and attached them the the branches with glossy accents. I punched lots of tiny circles, formed them into flower using my tiny tipped stylus and attached them with glossy accents.
I attached the tree to the card base lightly using rolled up glue dots and tucked the clouds in behind the branches and attaching them with rolled glue dots as well. I like to wait until my tree is in place so I know where I want to place the clouds. When I have them in place I push more firmly on the branches and glue dots to attach them to the clouds. Did that make sense?
I attached the fence to the card base using mounting tape and then tucked the grasses and leafy branches in behind the fence attaching with glossy accents. I use my paper piercer to secure the stems to the card base. I know it may seem backward to put the fence on first and stick the foliage in behind it afterwards. But it is the only way I seem to be able to know where I want to place the pieces in a creative way. I attached a few flowers and soft butterflies to the scene with glossy accents and finished by tucking one loan bunny in the grass for the final finishing touch.
Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession blog (all the details are there!). A random challenge card will be selected to showcase on the IO blog and you can to enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing!
I hope you will go check out what the other IO teams members created for the challenge.
Thanks for coming by today.

So delightfully cute. I haven’t seen rabbits in my yard just yet….but it’s just a matter of time. Love the soft yellow butterflies. I always have trouble finding a soft yellow.
So sweet…love the bunny peeking out.
Kittie,I love everything you do, but have wondered what size cards you make…when I try to make a similar card I end up with something much larger then 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Also are all your cards top fold. Please answer.
Everything that says spring. It’s perfect. I love it.
Love how realistic your scene is.. And I admire the patience you showed in creating these yellow flowers from tiny circles, well worth it though !
Good Morning, Kittie, Another gorgeous spring card. Love the tree and leaves, trees are so expressive. the lace fence makes the scene so cute with the bunny. Love the tucked grass. we have a bunny that loves the grass. wild, he comes an goes. doesn’t do damage, just likes to visit, the neighborhood. Reminds me of your bunny…..have a good day.
