Good Sunday morning. I have another Susan Tierney Cockburn flower to share with you today this time using the Mini Daisy. This is another precious mini flower that is sweet used alone or made into a beautiful bouquet or floral spray. Today I paired it with the new Memory Box Wonderful Watering Can.
I cut out the petals and leaves and formed them with the new Sizzix Accessory Tool Kit. I sponged each petal with with honey distress ink. I assembled the daisy following the step by step instructions found here and Susan’s video found here. I created tiny seed pods for the daisy using 1/8” punched circles, formed them with a stylus and placed in the flower center using glossy accents.
Here are a couple of closer views. Note the size of the mini daisy is one inch.
I cut the watering can and dry brushed several places with rusty hinge distress ink to add depth and make it look old and used. I cut butterflies, brushed on rusty hinge to deepen their color and used a black glaze pen to add markings to match the butterfly on the designer paper. I cut a frame, attached mounting tape on the back, added two sections of Impression Obsession grass border and attached to the card base.
I tucked the watering can in between the grass sections and attached with mounting tape. I hand cut a stem to place the leaves on placed it coming out of the watering can but it is pretty hard to see in the photos. I attached the daisy to the top of the stem with mounting tape for added dimension. I added the three tiny butterflies for the finishing touch.
Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

Well, I applaud you… Susan’s die sets are gorrrrrrgeous but I would not have the patience to put single petals together. Beautiful!
Wow that is so small. You handle it beautifully.
What a beautiful composition…so different. Kittie…let’s be honest….you could take a dirty trash can, a dead bug and a weed and make it into something gorgeous!
This is lovely Kittie!
It is so pretty ! I am a huge fan of your lovely cards and projects. Thank you for inspiring me !!

question? Kittie, what was in that dish that you colored with? could you use a dauber just as well?
so cute, just love your rusty watercan and the paper is perfect for the background of your scene!
What paper did you use that had the scene on the side of it?
