Cupids

Good Saturday morning.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I have another Valentine to share with you today.  It was made with the newly released Impression Obsession Cupids die set.  I think they are so pretty in red against the all white. After I got this finished and ready to photograph it dawned on me that since I made them facing each other they look like they may be dueling.  LOL!

I paired the cupids with my favorite Border Duo 1 decorative border.  I think it is so pretty and perfectly fits a Valentine.  I cut the border and popped the layer up on mounting tape. I added a thin red decorative trim along the edge made using the Border Duo 2 scalloped border.

I cut the cupids and attached them to the base of the card using mounting tape.  It doesn’t get much faster than this but isn’t the red and white striking!!

Thanks for stopping by today.

  1. I love the bold red and white – so vintage valentine! The cupids don’t look like they’re dualing. They look like lovers meeting for the first time and it’s love at first sight! Love the card completely! Robin

  2. I love this…can’t wait for my favorite shop to get some of the new dies. It’s refreshing to see some cards in a new theme, but I must confess…I’m still making Christmas cards…hoping one a week and I’ll be ready for next Christmas well ahead of time. TFS! I enjoy seeing all your new works of art 🙂

  4. The touch of red, the scalloped border really sets off the beautiful white border. I need the border dies. The cupids are cute, but not my thing. I’m not big on valentine’s day, I’m a spring girl. Thank you for sharing the beautiful red a white card.

  5. I never tire of red and white. This is a beautiful card creation. I would never have thought about the dueling if you didn’t say anything, well, maybe. No matter what it is joy for the eyes. TFS
