Fancy Framed Christmas Window

Good Tuesday morning.  I love the Impression Obsession Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames with all the different borders.  I thought they would make a cute decorative window frame and decided to layer one over the inner portion of the window from the Window with Shutter set.  I have extra flowers, foliage and frames laying all over my word desk and pulled a few of them together to make this quick see thru holiday window.

I attached the inner window to the decorative frame with 1/8” double stick tape.  I used the window as a template to draw lines for the opening on the card base and cut it with my craft knife. I attached thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached the window over the opening.  I attached the red awning on the inside of the card and cover the inside opening with a second frame to cover the rough cut edges of the opening. I added the larger red frame attaching it with mounting tape.

I had the tiny poinsettia left over from an earlier project and arranged it on the window with a few sprigs of foliage attaching them with glossy accents. I say it every time but I can’t help saying it again.  I love the crispness of an all white card with touches of red and green.  Oh…and I also have to say again that I love see thru windows

  2. Very cute window card Kittie. Not sure I understood how you created the window but will have to give it a try. I love window cards but still havent attempted to make one even with all the inspiration. I have a tendency to do things backwards (tape the wrong side) Lol, but Im learning. Trial and error.
