Garden Themed Pop-Up Book Card

Good Monday afternoon.  I hope you are enjoying this Memorial Day holiday.  My husband is working today so I have been enjoying playing with my paper and dies.  My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Technique Lovers Challenge to make a pop-up book card.  I don’t do very well with complicated card folds but I thought this technique looked fun.  I am very challenged with multiple folds and cuts and had to follow the tutorial in the Splitcoaststampers resources closely to keep myself straight.  LOL!  I had all of the supplies still on my desk from yesterday’s project and decided to use it again today.  I love the bright pink and green against the all white background.

The frames were attached to the card base with mounting tape. I tucked the arbor in behind the bottom of the frames and attached with mounting tape.  Sadly the arbor doesn’t show much against the all white background.  I wanted the trailing vines and flowers to match the frame colors and to highlight the fence and arbor.

The vines and flowers were attached with glossy accents.  I couldn’t resist adding one bird.

I followed the instructions on the tutorial resource page for the inside of the A2 size card.  You will need to scroll down to the bottom of the tutorial for the dimensions, cutting and scoring measurements.  I wanted to carry the garden gate and flower theme to the inside of the card to accompany the garden sentiment.

This was really a fun project.  I didn't quite manage to get my inside book attached straight to the card base but I still like it.

Thanks for coming by.
