Good Saturday morning. I am so drawn to making nature scene holiday cards. I have especially loved using pale blue paper for the background and all white images. This combination creates such a peaceful scene setting. I like adding a bit winter sparkle using crystal clear glitter. My project today was made using the newly released Impression Obsession Forest, Hill Landscape Layers paired with the sweet Dear Trio.
I started by applying touches of glue to the tree branches and dusting with glitter. I covered the entire piece of landscape with glue and applied the glitter.
Once the glitter was dry on the trees and landscape I attached them both to the card base with mounting tape. I applied double pieces of mounting tape to the back of the deer and attached them in the scene. This was a very fast and easy card to make and would be a perfect project to mass produce for holiday cards.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”
Gorgeous! I love your scene cards! The sparkle is such a nice touch!
So beautiful and the colors have such a soothing effect.
And you do them soooo well! Just beautiful. LOVE the white on icy mint and the glittery snow mound. 🙂
Beautiful snow scene Kittie.
Question:
Kittie I noticed you used coarse glitter on this snow and you have used fine detail
glitter on some of your other cards. May I ask the reason you used coarse glitter here, does it
give a different effect? or is it a matter of choice? Thank you for your response.
Eileen, I’m so glad you asked the question about the glitter. I did use the fine glitter. I mistakenly clicked on the coarse glitter when linking. I do have both glitters but I prefer the fine. Thanks for asking.
Good Afternoon, Kittie, a beautiful peaceful winter scene. love the soft blue against the beautiful white snow. the glitter you added makes the snow come to life . you want to go walking in the woods, and feel all the winter glory. ….have a good week-end
Oh, what a lovely Holiday Cards!
