Framed Flower Stems

Good Wednesday morning. Have you had the chance to check out the CLEARANCE category at Ellen Hutson? There are still hundreds of items marked 50% to 75% off. My floral project today was made using another frame that I have in my stash that you can find in the sale , the Memory Box Calozonia Frame.   I paired the frame using the Creative Expressions Trailing Ivy, Susan’s Garden Notes Hydrangea, Hydrangea 2 and Memory Box Butterfly Delights.

I cut the frame, applied mounting tape to the back and attached it to the layered pink and white card base.  I cut the ivy vines and both sizes of the hydrangea blossoms, formed them lightly with my stylus and molding pad and then assembled the flowers using glossy accents.

I applied small squares of mounting tape in a few key spots on the back of the ivy and flower stems and attached them to the card base and frame.  I brought in the color of the frame a second time by adding the tiny butterflies.  I added a multi loop bow for the finishing touch.  The ribbon actually matches the flowers perfectly but the camera picked up the colors looking a little off in the photographs. I tried several shots but it was not going to happen.  LOL!

Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a nice day. A week or two I complained that we were having one of the warmest winters that I remember and wishing for a little cold weather.  I got my wish as it is 36 degrees on my back porch this morning and will warm up to the high 50s.  I know this is not really very cold weather to all you who live in really cold country but I will definitely be wearing my winter coat to work this morning.  LOL!
