Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Die Blog Hop Day Three

Good Wednesday morning and welcome to day three of the Impression Obsession Fall/Winter Die Blog Hop!  We have some beautiful new dies to share AND a Gift Certificates to give away!  You can find all the details and the design team participants on the Impression Obsession Blog . Visit our IO Design Team’s blogs and comment for a chance to win one of THREE $25 Gift Certificates!

My projects today were made using the new Tree Window Scene and Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames .  I made a project over the weekend made using this dark blue and white color combination and loved the contrast.  I thought it would be fun to use that color combination again with this whimsical tree image.  I used the colors two ways and here’s what I came up.  The all white background is pretty but I really love how the white tree and frame pops against the dark blue background.

I applied double stick tape to the back of the outer frame, cut the window scene down a little to fit and attached it to the frame.

I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and to a few key spots on the tree trunk and limbs and attached it to the card base.

  1. WOW! I really, really LOVE these cards!! The Tree Scene Die is a lovely one and I definitely need to add it to my die toolbox! It is amazing how different it can look just by changing the colors! Great job!! TFS!

  2. Funny how different colors for the same
    design will look so different.
I prefer the blue trees – seems like
    the design pops more.

  5. Both versions of your card are stunning but I’m with you on liking the way the white die cut pops against the dark blue background.
