Framed Pine, Holly and Christmas Berries

Good Sunday morning.  I have an old-fashioned Christmas card to share with you today with pine, holly, berries and a multi looped tartan bow.  The frame was made using the Poppystamps Leafy Frame and the pine, holly and berry stems were made using the Sizzix Mini Holiday Greens set.  The bow was made using ribbon I found at Michaels.

I applied strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base.  I wanted to create an all white background for the foliage and ribbon and the die cut frame added another element of interest without distracting from the arrangement.

I lightly formed the holly leaves with my stylus and molding pad and bent and formed the pine using my fingers.  I  applied 1/8” punched red circles to the berry branches and holly stems with glossy accents.  I arranged the pine branches, holly and berry stems and attached to the card base with glossy accents.  I tied the bow and attached it to the arrangement with glue dots.  Check out my multi loop bow tutorial if you would like to see how I make my multi loop bows.

Here’s a little closer view. I added red stickles to the red berries to create a bit of sparkle.
