I like to use red and white to create a clean and simple die cut Valentine card. Silhouette images appear so crisp and clean with the colorful contrast. I love using the Impression Obsession Songbird Branch cut in white and layered against the red Essentials by Ellen Folk Hearts. Layering the heart with the white Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables adds another element of contrast for the images.
I used a large stylus and molding pad to form the leaves and the birds. The white scalloped background, the heart and the songbirds were attached using mounting tape. I never like creating projects where all the layers are attached flat to each other. Adding space between the layers creates an element of dimension and interest to a clean and simple card.
I really enjoy making projects with lots of detail but it is also fun to create an interesting clean and simple project. Thanks for coming by today. I hope I have inspired you to create a clean and simple die cut valentine card of your own,
What a sweet card….. I love the 2 colors and the simplicity of this idea. Thank you for sharing your creativity…

Wow Kittie…I really do love your new Website! It’s beautiful! I was shocked for a minute, most times I just read your email of your tutorial and don’t usually come over here until I want to comment. I’m so glad I did! Your card is so clean and simple, yet says so much. I love it!
Blessings,
Deb
