I have so much fun creating die cut and watercolor flower cards. My project today was made using the Rubbernecker Flowers in the Breeze to create the colorful watercolor flower picture. This is the second of the Rubbernecker watercolor flower sets I’ve tried and I love the addition of the die cut flowers, foliage and double matted frame.
My watercolor flowers were made using four step stamping. I secured the cold pressed watercolor paper and first stamp in my MISTI, applied color using Memento Rose Bud and Distress Shaded Lilac markers, misted with water and stamped. I held the stamp in place for a few seconds to allow the watery colors to spread on the paper. I applied Peeled Paint ink to the second stamp using the ink pad, misted and stamped. I used a Memento Pear Tart maker to color the third stamp, misted and stamped. I finished by applying color to the fourth stamp using a Distress Stormy Sky marker, misted and stamped.
The frame was made using the Rubbernecker Oval Stitched One Piece Combined Die. The die cut flower was made using the Mixable Flower Stack Die. The foliage was made using the Small Leaf Group Die and I used the Small Butterfly Die to finish.
I cut the oval stitched frame twice and attached the two layers together with thin strips of mounting tape. I secured the frame in place over the watercolor flower picture using ATG adhesive. I used my stylus and molding pad to form the flower sections and attached them together with glossy accents. I gently curved the leaves of the foliage using the stylus and molding pad. I arranged and attached the leaves and the flower to the frame using glossy accents. I applied tiny pre made white Nuvo Crystal Drops to the to the butterfly and flowers using glossy accents.
Rubbernecker has a very helpful video tutorial on the Flowers in the Breeze link showing how to use this four step flower set to create a lovely watercolor flower picture. Scroll down to find the tutorial.
Thank you for coming by today. I am looking forward to making more die cut and watercolor flower cards and I hope you have been inspired to try combining these techniques.

Kitty, Thank you for showcasing how to use the Rubbernecker stamps! I love their stamps but can never figure out how to turn them into a card that I like. I hope you do more with them because you are so creative! You are the best! Thanks for sharing.
