Good Friday morning. I have a pretty card to share with you today using Susan’s Garden Notes die cut Lilac 2 set paired with the Garden Patch 7/8 Inch and Mini Leaves Frame. I have made lots of projects over the years using Susan Tierney Cockburn sets and you can check them out here.
The Frame
I started by cut the frame and a white layer the same size as the frame and a green layer 1/4″ larger. I rolled up strips of double stick tape and attached it all the way around the edge of the frame and attached it to the white layer. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the green layer and attached it to the 5 inch square card base.
Forming the Flowers
I cut several sections of both size flowers using purple cardstock and one set of the flower background in green. I formed the flowers using my stylus and molding pad and then assembled each flower using one large and one small and attached together using glossy accents. Once all the flowers were formed I began attaching them to the base using glossy accents. I tucked each flower in close to each other to completely cover the base and create a full lilac flower.
Completing Susan’s Garden Notes Die Cut Lilac
I attached the lilac flower stems to the frame base using glossy accents. I cut two sets of leaves using green cardstock and gently formed them with my fingers so they wouldn’t appear flat. I attached them to the base of the flower stem using glossy accents. I added a few more flowers to the leaves just because I thought they looked pretty there. I finished by attaching pre made green Nuvo Crystal Drops to the center of each flower using glossy accents.
Creating this pretty card using Susan’s Garden Notes die cut Lilac was a bit of work but I think it was well worth the effort. I love how full the flowers look layered of the dimension of the frame background. I hope you have a great day and that you have enjoyed seeing my project.
