Farm Fresh Christmas Tree Card

Come see how to make this farm fresh Christmas tree card using the new products from the Brass and Bliss “Boughs of Joy” Christmas in July release.

The Winter Fence with Sign and the coordinating Winter Fence Sign Sayings sets provided the opportunity to create the perfect outdoor Christmas   trees themed card.  I paired the new sets with the Three Pine Tree Forest, Deckle Hills and Mailbox with Presents (foliage).  I love the rustic fence and sign and the rows of trees.

Check out my step by step guide to making my farm fresh Christmas tree card.  It looks complicated but it really isn’t.

Scene Base

  • Cut three snowy layers.  Pro Tip: I ran the snow layers through my wave crimper to add dimension and interest.
  • Attach back two layers to the card base using double stick tape.
  • Apply a strip of mounting tape to the front snow layer and attach to the base.
  • Cut several sections of trees.
  • Tuck tree layers behind the back two snow layers and attach using a glue dot at the bottom back and a pop dot at the top back.  Pro Tip:  I secure the tree bottoms flat to the base to create less bulk.   I use a pop dot to the tops so they will stand away from the base for a natural look.
  •  Save two sections of trees for the front of the fence.

Fence and Sign

  • Cut the fence sections and color them using brown ink and a wet baby wipe.  Pro Tip:  I lightly dab the folded baby wipe ink the ink and gently wipe it across the sections.  It is a fast and easy way to apply ink to large pieces.
  • Attach the sections together using glue.
  • Cut the snowy sections and apply to the fence sections using glue.
  • Cut the sign sections using red and white cardstock.
  • Attach the stamped sentiment layer to the red layer and attach them to the fence section.
  • Cut green holly sections from the Mailbox with Presents set and create a bough by attaching sections for the fence front.  Finish with a pretty red bow.
  • Color the brick side sections using blending brushes to layer color with brown, red and orange ink to create natural looking brick.
  • Tuck the fence sections behind the front snow layer and attach using strips of mounting tape.
  • Finish by tucking the trees layers in front of the fence.
