Die Cut Snowman Scene

Good Thursday morning.  My project today is a festive die cut snowman scene using the new Rubbernecker Stamps Snowman paired with Holly, Tiny Leaves, Deckle Hills and framed using the Rectangle Combo #2.  I love snowmen for holiday cards and they are also cute for winter occasions such as birthdays, etc.  I don’t get to see any snow living here in Florida so I have to make do with putting snow themes on my cards.  LOL!

Come see how I made this die cut snowman scene with falling snow and holly.

The Frame and Deckle Hill Layer

  • Cut the Rectangle Combo frame using white cardstock.
  • Turn the two frame sections face down and attach them together using double stick tape.
  • Cut the Deckle Hill layer using white cardstock, trim it and attach to the back of the frame.
  • Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the blue card base.

Assemble The Snowman

  • Cut the Snowman body and twig arms using white cardstock and attach them together using glossy accents..
  • Cut the accessory pieces using red, black and orange cardstock.
  • Attach the hat sections together using glossy accents and attach to the head.
  • Attach the facial features, buttons and scarf to the snowman using glossy accents.
  • Color the twig arms using a walnut Copic marker and attach to the back of the snowman using glossy accents.

Come see how I made this fun die cut snowman scene with falling snow and holly.

Complete the Scene

  • Apply mounting tape to the back of the snowman, tuck him in behind the snow layer and attach to the card base.
  • Cut a couple sections of the holly using green cardstock and the berries using red cardstock.
  • Cut the holly sections apart, tuck them in behind the snow layer and attach with glossy accents.
  • Cut tiny leaves using green cardstock, form them with the leaf tool and molding pad and attach them to the hat and scarf using glossy accents.
  • Attach red berry sections to the holly leaves on the scarf and hat using glossy accents.
  • Punch multiple 1/16″ circles and attach to the scene using glossy accents to create the falling snow.  I do not know what possessed me to create snow like this as it was time consuming but I sure do like how the popped up circles look in the scene, especially on the hat and holly.
  • Finish the scene by applying red stickles to the berries.

Come see how I made this festive die cut snowman scene with falling snow and holly.

I loved making this die cut snowman scene.  The snowman is so cute with his festive decorated hat and scarf and I especially how the holly leaves surrounding him at the base.  I hope you are inspired to get your own snowman dies out and create a scene of your own.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great weekend.

Snowman Snowball Fight Scene

Good Wednesday morning.  I have a fun snowman snowball fight scene card to share with you today.  Well….you can only see one side of the fight as my snow man builds up his supply of snowballs to be ready for the oncoming attack.  LOL!  I used the Rubbernecker Stamps Snowman die set and paired him with the Pine Tree Forest and Stitched Hills to match the stitching on the Square Combo Frame

Come see how I made this snowman snowball fight scene using dies by Rubbernecker Stamps.

The Framed Scene

  • Cut the frame twice, once using white and once using the blue Rainbow Christmas paper.
  • Turn the frame sections face down and attach them together using double stick tape.
  • Cit the snow layers using white cardstock and the trees using green cardstock.
  • Attach the snow layers to the back of the frame using double stick tape.
  • Apply mounting tape to the back of the frame and snow layers.
  • Attach the pine trees to the mounting tape on the back of the frame and snow layers.
  • Apply touches of double stick tape where the trees are attached  on the back of the frame and attach the framed scene to the card base.

Come see how I made this fun snowman snowball fight scene using dies by Rubbernecker Stamps.

Assemble The Snowman

  • Cut the snowman sections out using white cardstock and the accessories using the blue designer paper.
  • Cut the eyes and buttons using black cardstock and the nose using orange cardstock.
  • Attach the eyes, nose and mouth using glossy accents.
  • Attach the hat, scarf and earmuffs using glossy accents and mounting tape.
  • Color the twig arms using a brown Copic marker and attach the mittens using glossy accents.
  • Punch out several 1/4″ circles and gently form them using the large round stylus and molding pad.
  • Attach one snowball to the snowman body with mounting tape and then attach the twig arms and mittens using glossy accents.
  • Tuck the snowman in behind the snow layers and attach with mounting tape.
  • Finish the scene by attaching a few snowballs on the ground area using mounting tape.

Come see how I made this cute snowman snowball fight scene using dies by Rubbernecker Stamps.

I think this is such a fun snowman snowball fight scene card.  I hope you are inspired to get your snowman dies out and create a fun scene of your own. Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day.

Christmas in July Z Fold Snowman Card

Today I’m celebrating “Christmas in July” with a fun Z Fold Snowman card made using several dies by Rubbernecker Stamps and the The Paper Cut Easel Card Base kit.  I used the Snowman, Pine Tree Forest, Tree in Oval, Deckle Hills, Wagon, Small Birds and Tiny Leaves to create this fun winter scene.

Come over to my blog to see how I made this Z Fold snowman card.

The Card Base

  • Cut a piece of blue cardstock 11″ x 5.50″ .
  • Cut several sections of the Deckle Hills using white cardstock to create the snow layers and attach them to the card base using ATG adhesive.
    • Cut two Deckle Hills sections 2.50″ x approximately 2.00″ tall and one 5.25″ x approximately 2.00″ tall. Attach the pieces to the card base using ATG adhesive.
    • Cut four Deckle Hills sections 3.75″ wide x approximately 2.00″ tall.
    • Score the insert layers .50″ in from each end and set aside.
    • Cut one Deckle Hills layer 11.00″ x approximately 2.00″.  Note:  I cut the cardstock piece at 11.00″ inches, placed the die and ran through the machine. I lined up the die where the first cut ended and ran it through a second time to create the full 11.00″ piece.
    • Score the 11.00″ Deckle Hills layer at 5.50 and 8.25″.
    • Apply ATG adhesive to the back portion of the 11.00″ layer and attach to the card base. Apply to the first 2.75″ on the back left and the last 2.75″ on the back right side.
  • Cut several Pine Tree Forest and two Tree Tree in Oval  sections using green cardstock.  Cut the large trees away from the oval to use in the back of the scene.

Come over to my blog to see how I made this fun Z Fold snowman card.

Assemble the Snowman and Wagon full of Snowman Parts

  • Cut the snowman parts using white, black, red, green, woodgrain and orange cardstock.
  • Assemble the pieces to form the snowman using glossy accents.
  • Attach tiny holly leaves and red berries to the hats and scarf using glossy accents.
  • Cut the wagon using red and black cardstock and attach the pieces using glossy accents.
  • Cut additional snowman parts in red, black, green, woodgrain and orange cardstock and loosely assemble them and attach to the wagon using mounting tape and glossy accents.

Assemble the Z Fold Snowman Card

  • Tuck the trees in behind the snow layers and attach to the card base using rolled up glue dots.
  • Apply double stick tape to the edges of the insert layers.  Fold the left scored side toward the back of the card and the right scored side to the front of the card. Attach the layers to the box portion of the card.
  • Attach the trees to the insert layers using double stick tape.
  • Tuck the two small snowmen in behind the snow layers on both sides of the card and attach using mounting tape.
  • Apply double stick tape to the lower front portion of the large snowman and attach him to the insert layer.
  • Attach the wagon full of snowman parts to the front snow layer using mounting tape.
  • Attach snowflakes to the sky area, trees and images using Gina K Connect glue.  Hint:  I have several dies with eyelet borders so I save the circles from those when I cut to use as snowflakes.  I use the Gina K Connect glue to attach them instead of my favorite Glossy Accents  as it dries perfectly clear in case some of the glue spills out from under the snowflakes.
  • Finish by attaching a few red birds to the scene for an additional touch of color using small pieces of mounting tape.

Come over to my blog to see how I made this colorful Z Fold snowman card.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Z Fold Snowman card.  I took a close up picture of the wagon full snowman parts for you to see since they don’t really show up well in the other pictures.  I thought it was such a fun idea to make it look like there were lots more parts and pieces to build additional snowmen.  You can check out this snowman Pinterest link if you would like inspiration.  As hot as it is around the country it may be cooling for the soul to start making your winter holiday cards this weekend.  LOL!  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great Sunday.
