Die Cut Tiny Flowers and Rubbernecker Sale

Rubbernecker April Sale

Good Saturday morning.  Today I’m sharing a clean and simple project with die cut tiny flowers and pretty framing.  I used the Rubbernecker Stamps Rectangle Combo #3 for the frames and Small Flowers #1 paired with the Small Leaf Group for the arrangement. Before I move on to talk about my card I want to remind you of the Rubbernecker sale going on with stamps and dies all 15% off.  The sale ends tonight!

Come see how I made this die cut tiny flowers and frame card.

The Frame and Eyelet Layer

  • Cut the designer paper 5.50″ x 4.25″ to cover the whole card base and attach using ATG adhesive.
  • Cut the rectangle frame using white cardstock.
  • Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the large eyelet frame and attach to the card base.
  • Apply double stick tape to the back of the oval eyelet and rectangle layers to attach them together.
  • Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the framed eyelet oval and attach it to the card base.

Come see how I made this bright die cut tiny flowers and frame card.

Die Cut Tiny Flowers Arrangement

  • Cut the tiny flowers using bright yellow cardstock to match the designer paper.
  • Form the flower layers using a stylus and molding pad.
  • Attach the smaller flower layer in the larger flower and attach with glossy accents.
  • Attach three tiny white Nuvo crystal drops in each flower using glossy accents.
  • Cut the small leaves using green cardstock.
  • Create a foliage base for the tiny flowers by attaching leaves to the rectangle eyelet layer using glossy accents.
  • Attach the tiny flowers using glossy accent and fill in with additional leaves as you wish.

Come see how I made this pretty die cut tiny flowers and frame card.

The designer paper was my inspiration for the die cut tiny flowers and frame.  I loved the bright yellow flowers with the tiny white centers recreated that look for my flowers.  This was really a fast and easy card to make and I love how bright and cheery it is.  What a perfect “thinking of you” or “get well” card this would be.  Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a great Sunday.

Die Cut Flower Z Fold

Good Saturday morning.  Today I’m sharing my first attempt at making a die cut flower Z fold card.  I am very challenged when it comes to making cards with different folds.  I usually mess up the measurements and don’t find out until I’m half way through the project.  LOL!  I wanted to try my hand at a Z fold card and decided to Google Z fold cards and found lots of great examples and tutorials.  I was most impressed with a tutorial by Bronwyn Eastley and couldn’t wait to give it a try.  You can find Bronwyn’s Z fold tutorial here.  You may want to check out Bronwyn’s tutorial page with more than 100 tutorials and wonderful step by step instructions and photos.  Here’s what I came up with for my first attempt.  Believe it or not, I was able to make all the basic parts and pieces work together to create a base Z fold card for all of my flower pots and accessories.  I used lots of different Rubbernecker die sets to create my project and you can find them all linked at the bottom of my post.

Come see how I made this die cut flower z fold card.

Card Base and Front Panel

  • Please refer to Bronwyn’s tutorial for the exact dimensions to use for this Z fold card shape.

Come see how I made this colorful die cut flower z fold card.

Assemble Decorative Lattice, Window Frame and Inner Strip

  • Cut two circle lattice pieces using white cardstock.
  • Apply double stick tape to the back of the lattice pieces and attach to the card base.
  • Cut the window frame section using woodgrain embossed cardstock .
  • Attach thin strips of mounting tape around the back top window sections and double stick tape to the lower section and attach to the back card base panel.
  • Attach one of the woodgrain embossed front strips to the card base using double stick tape.

Attach Card Box Inserts and Outer Front Strip

  • Apply 1/2″ double stick tape to the card box insert scored tabs.
  • Attach all three of the card box inserts to the left side of the base with the tab facing out.  Space them evenly to fit inside the box.
  • Apply double stick tape to the back of the front strip.
  • Attach the left front section to the base and fold at the score lines to create the box.
  • Attach the right side of the card base inserts to the inside of the front strip with the tabs facing in towards the card base.
  • Attach the last section of the front strip to the left side of the card base.

Come see how I made this spring die cut flower z fold card.

Flowers, Flower Pots, Watering Can and Cart

  • Cut the flower pots using yellow cardstock and apply Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge ink with a mini applicator.
  • Cut the flower cart and watering can using grey cardstock and apply Rusty Hinge ink with a mini applicator. Cut the wheel using black cardstock.
  • Cut large and small ivy and foliage leaves using green cardstock.
  • Cut several different flower shapes using white, pink, aqua, purple and yellow cardstock.
  • Apply ink to the flower centers using mini applicators.  Wild Honey for the yellow flowers, Shaded Lilac for the white and purple flowers and Worn Lipstick for the pink flowers.  The purple and aqua flowers were not inked.

Come see how I made this fun die cut flower z fold card.

Lattice and Card Box Inserts

  • Attach large ivy sections to the lattice walls, back panel and card box inserts using glossy accents.
  • Attach the purple and pink three flower clusters to the ivy on the lattice sections using glossy accents.
  • Attach single yellow flowers to the ivy on the back wall using glossy accents.

Come see how I made this summer die cut flower z fold card.

Assemble the Flower Pots and Garden Cart

  • Create arrangements in each flower pot and garden cart.
  • Attach foliage sections first and attach with glossy accents.
  • Form flowers using stylus and molding pad.
  • Attach flowers to the foliage sections using glossy accents.

Complete Die Cut Flower Z Fold Assembly

  • Attach three pots of flowers in the windows on the back panel using strips of mounting tape.
  • Attach a flower pot of flowers to each card box inserts using glossy accents.  Apply glossy accents to front of pots and attach to the back of the inserts.  Stagger the pots to fill the space.
  • Attach a large flower pot to the right back of the card base using strips of mounting tape.
  • Attach the watering can and stack of flower pots to the front left base using strips of mounting tape.
  • Attach the garden cart to the front box section using a strip of mounting tape.

Come see how I made this pretty die cut flower z fold card.

Wow!  It’s one thing to make a die cut flower Z fold card but another trying to describe all the steps.  I have to admit this card took lots of time to make with all the different parts and pieces and it was a challenge but I had a great time.  I may have gone a little overboard with all the flowers and pots but I really love how it turned out.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card and are inspired to make one of your own.  Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a great Saturday.

Die Cut Coffee Cup

Good Sunday morning.  Today I’m sharing a fast and easy die cut coffee cup card made using the newly released Coffee Cup paired with the new Rectangle Combo #3, Tiny Flower Buds, Flower Stems and Good Cup of Coffee sentiment.  I’m a coffee lover and I thought the big cup and sentiment were perfect together.  Adding the tiny flowers and leaves mimicked the background paper and added another element of interest.

Come see how I made this die cut coffee cup card.

The Framed Card Base

  • Cut the frame using white cardstock.
  • Cut the pink designer paper background sized to fit behind the frame and attach it to the card base using ATG adhesive.
  • Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the card base.
  • Note:  The designer paper I used is a retired Papertrey Ink pattern.

The Die Cut Coffee Cup

  • Stamp the sentiment on the center piece of the rectangle combo frame using Versafine Clair Nocturne.
  • Cut the cup bottom using white cardstock and the top using pink cardstock.
  • Cut the cup protector using Kraft cardstock and run it through a crimper.
  • Cut the tiny flowers using pink cardstock and form them using a tiny tip stylus and molding pad.
  • Cut the flower stems using green cardstock.
  • Attach the cup lid to the cup using a piece of mounting tape and then attach the cup to the card base using strips of mounting tape.
  • Attach the cup protector to the cup using mounting tape
  • Apply mounting tape to the back of the sentiment layer and attach to the card base.
  • Arrange and attach the stems and flowers to the sentiment and cup using glossy accents.

Come see how I made this fun die cut coffee cup card.

I think this die cut coffee cup card would be perfect for any coffee lover.  All the parts and pieces came together really fast and would be perfect to have on hand.  Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great Sunday.

Die Cut Framed Floral Wreath

Good Saturday morning.  My project today is a die cut framed floral wreath made the Rubbernecker Rectangle Combo OPC #3, Large Ivy, Small Flowers #1 and Nested Circle Dies.  I love how attaching the framed sections together creates such a beautiful and elegant eyelet background for my wreath.

Come check out how I made this die cut framed floral wreath.

The Die Cut Frames

  • Cut the rectangle frames using white cardstock.
  • Turn all the framed pieces face down and attach together using double stick tape.
  • Apply strips of mounting tape to the back of the framed layers and attach to the pink card base.

The Die Cut Wreath

  • Cut several sections of the large ivy using green cardstock.
  • Cut the ivy sections apart to create two pieces of ivy.
  • Cut a wreath circle base using two small circle dies.
  • Attach the ivy sections all the way around the base using glossy accents.
  • Cut the small flowers using pink cardstock.
  • Form the flowers using a stylus and molding pad.
  • Layer several of the larger and smaller flowers together using glossy accents.
  • Arrange and attach the layered and smaller flowers around the ivy wreath base and attach using glossy accents.
  • Check out my Paper Floral Wreath tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I create my wreaths.  The tutorial uses different foliage and flowers but the procedure is exactly the same.

Come check out how I made this lovely die cut framed floral wreath.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my die cut framed floral wreath.  Get out your own foliage and flower dies and punches and create a pretty floral project of your own.  I hope you ave a great weekend.

Die Cut Floral Frame

Good Monday morning.  My project today is an elegant die cut floral frame card made using Rubbernecker Stamps newly released 5211D Floral Frame paired with the 5109D Mixable Flower Stack.  I love that this frame set comes with matching foliage leaves.  I chose to secure the leaf centers in place using double stick tape but this would have also been lovely had I removed the centers.  Rubbernecker took extra care to create the frame border wide enough to easily attach mounting tape for securing to the card base.

Stamp and Scrapbook Expo Dates

I will be attending the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo in Irving, Texas on February 22 and 23 and in Pleasanton, California on March 1 and 2.  I’ll be demonstrating at the Rubbernecker Stamps both.  I hope you’ll stop by and introduce yourself if you are attending either of these events.

Come see how I made this die cut floral frame card.

The Frame

  • Cut the floral frame using white cardstock.
  • Cut thin strips of mounting tape and attach to the back of the frame.
  • Secure the frame to the card base.

The Foliage

  • Cut five foliage sections using white cardstock.
  • Secure the leaf centers in place using double stick tape.
  • Arrange the leaf stems and attach to the card base using glossy accents.
  • Note:  Some of the leaf stems were trimmed to fit on the corner of the card.

Come see how I made this lovely die cut floral frame card.

The Flower

  • Cut the flower sections using white cardstock.
  • Place the flower layers face down on the molding pad and form the petals using a round stylus.
  • Place the flower layers face up and push down in the center of each using a small tipped stylus.
  • Attach the flower layers together using glossy accents.
  • Attach the flower to the card base and leaves using glossy accents.
  • Finish the card by attaching crystal clear sequins to the card base and flower center using glossy accents.

Come see how I made this elegant die cut floral frame card.

I could have used a sentiment in the center of my die cut floral frame card base but I like the elegance that the clear sequins add.  I don’t use sequins very often but I especially like them with floral cards.  Have you checked out the new Rubbernecker die release?  There are so many fun new dies to play with. I’ll be sharing several new dies in my posts over the next couple of weeks. Thanks so much for coming by.
