Here are a few pictures showing how I use my needle nose pliers to roll back the petals on my rolled roses.
Start with the out petals and begin rolling back each petal.
Reach in and grab the inner petals with the pliers and keep turning back.
Continue reaching into the center with the nose of the pliers and turning back the petals. You will need to put less pressure on the inner petals as they will be a little stiffer than the outer petals and can easily tare.
