Leaf Wreath With Alcohol Inks

Today’s project is a leaf wreath with alcohol inks and I have included a tutorial showing how I applied the color to the paper.

I used four different colors of Adirondack alcohol ink-Rust, Butterscotch, Lettuce and Red Pepper and Alcohol Blending Solution.

I put several spots of the four different colors of ink on my craft sheet, misted heavily with alcohol blending solution (you could use regular alcohol) and laid a piece of glossy cardstock face down and pressed the paper to spread the ink and to cover the sheet. Get out your rubber gloves for this step because you are going to need them. Ask me how I know!!! LOL!

Here’s what the full sheet looked like when I was finished.

I cut out several sets of the small leaf set.

I formed all the leaves with my stylus and molding to add natural dimension. No real fall leaf is perfectly flat.

I cut a circle for the wreath base using two Spellbinders classic circles. I created a leaf base all the way around the circle using the largest leaves.

I built layers with the leaves until it was totally filled in and looked complete. I attached all the upper layer of leaves in different directions around the wreath to give a natural look.

This wreath is so pretty and needed very little embellishment. I thought it was perfect against the all vanilla layers. I absolutely love the shine of the glossy paper.
