Good Monday morning. I have been out of town for several days and haven’t been able to post. It was good to get my fingers inky again. My project today was made with a sweet window scene from Rubbernecker’s 2012 Baby Collection and the image is called Animals In Window.
This is a very fun image to color and works well to layer and create dimension. I stamped the image three times on white cardstock with Brilliance Graphite Black and embossed with Ranger Clear Embossing powder. I painted the base layer with Distress Ink reinkers and cut out the form of the window. I used my craft knife to cut out the windows and cut away the animal images as well. I left the window panes and sills white.
I attached the second window layer to the base using rolled up glue dots. I painted and cut out the animals and the sill from the third image and attached it over the second with rolled up glue dots. I love the dimension that the layered images create.
I created a simple wainscoting layer using my score pal and a chair rail with my crimper. The cornice was punched with Martha Stewart PATP Eyelet punch and crimped. I think this would be such a perfect card for a baby shower.
It is good to be back and I appreciate all of your notes wondering where I have been. I hope you have a great week.
