Framed Love Birds and Flourishes

Good Sunday morning!  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  My project today is made with the new Impression Obsession Love Birds, Flourish and Hydrangea Set.  It’s fairly clean and simple but I love the way the red, blue and green look so crisp against the white.

I think the Love Birds die is so sweet and the curly flourishes match perfectly with the new Flourish die. I cut one of the love birds and two of the flourishes and joined them together to extend the branches for added interest. I cut the birds out a second time with blue and attached them over the green birds.  I formed several of the tiny hydrangea flowers and attached to the branches with glossy accents to add color and softness.

I cut the frame with the nesting rectangles and mounted it to the card base with mounting tape.  I attached tiny strips of mounting tape to the back of the branches and birds and attached them to the base. I love how this turned out.  Who wouldn’t be happy receiving this bright and cheerful card.

  2. I love all your creations even though I am going to the poor house trying to keep up with all the new dies! The colors are fantastic! Where do you get your paper from? I especially love the lavender you have used and this blue bird. They are so vibrant. Thank you for being such an inspiration!
