Good Tuesday morning. My project today was made using Susan Tierney Cockburn’s Forsythia set.
I love creating window scenes especially with outdoor elements like trees, fences and flower borders. The small blossoms and leaves in the forsythia set are the perfect size to pair not only with branches but also flower gardens.
I started by cutting two sets of blossoms and two sets of leaves and forming them with the stylus and loop tool from Susan’s tool kit. I cut two window pieces, a fence and both grass borders.
I attached the blossoms and leaves to the branches with glossy accents. I used one of the windows as a template to draw lines for cutting the opening in the card base, cut it out using my craft knife and attached the window to the opening with ATG adhesive. I cut a decorative border on the window shade, crimped with my crimper and attached it to the opening on the inside of the card. attached the second window on the inside opening to cover the hand cut opening for a clean finish.
I attached the fence to the card base with mounting tape and then attached the tree to the card base with rolled glue dots. The glue dots not only hold the branches in place but also pop up the branches for dimension.
I attached the blossoms to the Grass Border and attached it directly to the fence with ATG adhesive. I applied mounting tape to the Fresh Cut Grass and finished by attached it in front of the flower border.
Check out my see thru window tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I create my open window. You may also want to check out my blog candy post for a chance to win the Memory Box Flowering Vine Border.
I hope you have a great day and thank you for stopping by.

I love forsythia. This is amazing Kittie. Thank you for all the beautiful scenes you create ♥
beautifull every card is inspiring
Love the yellow against the blue. So beautiful. Can I come to your house to play? lol
Love those window scenes and I always follow your lead..haha I bought the double French doors and hope to do something like your card from about a week ago. Now that we think it has stopped raining which means we have put a hold on building our ark, I think a sunny scene is called for this week.
This is so cute Kittie. Love the window and love the flowers.
Lovely card…I enjoy my window dies, too. So much fun!!!
This is so pretty Kittie!
Good Morning, Kittie; I love your tree and flowers. This is simply gorgeous in color and texture. I know how much patience you have in making these flowers. Yesterday, made a few myself, and boy! they aren’t easy.Susan’s videos help. You are right the loop tool would make them much prettier. (especially with leaf department)I have been debating on her set of tools myself, but can see where it would be better. so on my wish list. In the meantime please continue with your inspiring, gorgeous creations. Never enough flowers…..have a good day.
Another beautiful creation. I love the window die and I hope to get some of the flower dies. Your creations give me the “I want it all” sensation. Can hardly wait for your next card. I did notice the majority of your cards have the fold on the top, can you give the dimensions? TIA
Another Beautiful creation, love how the branch can be a tree and the yellow flowers are just lovely, pretty combo and scene!
