Good Sunday morning. My project today is a whimsical window card made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge. The inspiration site was an Etsy store called {More} Sprinkled Joy and I was inspired by the Ballet Slippers Straws found here. I recently received the Taylored Expressions Display Window and Window Accessories and thought they would be fun to use with the coordinating Bundle of Joy Dots & Stripes designer paper.
I attached the polka dot paper on the front of the card base with ATG adhesive. I cut 1/2” strips of cardstock and attached to the lower half of the card to create siding. I used the window die cut as a template to draw lines on the front to use as a guide to cut the opening and used my craft knife to cut the opening. I attached the window to the card front with mounting tape. I attached the shutters and window box with mounting tape.
I cut several small leafy sprigs and punched lots of tiny 1/8” circles. I formed the tiny circles into flowers with my small tipped stylus and molding pad and attached to the sprigs with glossy accents. I tucked the sprigs in behind the window box and attached with glossy accents.
I used antique linen ink and a mini applicator to apply color to the kitty and attached it in the window with glossy accents.
I couldn’t resist sharing this last picture with the low light that created a cozy backdrop for the cat silhouette.
A while back the French Passion Cartes Creatives craft magazine published an interview about my love of paper crafting with several of my projects. I couldn’t resist sharing these pictures with you. It was such an honor for me. Too bad I can’t read French. LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
Bundle of Joy Dots & Stripes must be retired because I couldn’t find it anywhere to link for you.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”

Kittie – love this. I’m a cat lover and a big fan of your cards. Perfect idea! BTW, I checked out one of your videos and thought it was great. Love your work.
I can’t believe I’m writing this, but here goes:
Kittie, I love your cat cards! Argh!
But I really do! I’m not a cat person but I’ve bought the dies because I have so many friends who are and your cards inspire me so much — as you know so well!
I’m going to forward this email to my French sister-in-law! She’s not a card maker, but I’m sure she’ll appreciate it nonetheless. She and my brother are moving back to the states after 25 years away, most in France, I know she’s going to miss France and her family intensely. They are the ones with the place in the Outer Banks — “Lucy’s Place” — they named it after my mother who died during its construction. Anyway, Congratulations Kittie and I love the card!
Absolutely fabulous card, Kittie! Always love to see the cat(s) that grace your creations from time-to-time. Congratulations on the spread in the French Passion Cartes Creatives craft magazine. Well deserved recognition!
Kittie, I am having problems with my computer but would very much like to email you a couple of questions. Please email me with your email address (the link will not work on my computer). My name is Mary Finn and my email address is maryhfinn@yahoo.com
