Window Full Of Love

Good Sunday morning.  I am certainly finished with Christmas projects but my favorite color combination of red, green and white is still going strong and moving straight into a Valentine’s Day theme. My project today was made using the Impression Obsession Window With Shutter, Floral Heart Strip, the love sentiment from the Heart Frame set, Butterfly Set and the Fir Sprig set

I kept the window and card base all white so the red and green would pop. I attached the window and shutters together using 1/4” double stick tape and attached them to the card base with thin strips of mounting tape. I applied a double layer of tape to the back of the shutters.  I cut two Heart Strips in green and cut two sets of the top heart portion in red.  I trimmed a portion off of each of the green heart tops, applied glossy accents and attached  the red hearts on top of them. Trimming the green heart tops made it easy to apply the red hearts on top without having to line up the red and green perfectly.  I hope that made sense!! I hand cut a green strip to cover the heart strip and attached them together with 1/4 double stick tape.  I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the heart strip and attached it to the card base.  I cut the smaller hearts off the second strip, attached them to the back of the window box with glossy accents and attached it to the card base with a double layer of mounting tape. I added a few sprigs to fill in and add interest to both the window box and flower bed.  I applied three red butterflies for the finishing touch.
