What The World Needs Now Is Love

Good Friday morning. The  Impression Obsession and Perfect Paper Crafting design teams are playing together today to show off how well the wonderful IO stamps and dies work with the Perfect Layers Tools. Check out both the Impression Obsession blog and the Perfect Paper Crafting blog to see how you can win a prize from both companies.   I have to admit that I don’t use lots of matted layering on my projects because I can never get my borders cut evenly.  I like to blame the problem on my paper trimmer but in my heart I know it’s me.  I was very excited to have the opportunity to play with the Perfect Layers Mini Tools and Perfect Layers Cutting Mat but wondered how well I would do since I am totally challenged cutting straight lines. Woo Hoo!!!! Much to my surprise and joy even I could cut straight lines working with these tools and will be keeping them close at hand on my work table.

My project today was made using the new Impression Obsession Globe and Globe Stamp Set and all my perfectly straight cut layers were made using the Perfect Layers Mini and Perfect Layers Cutting Mat.

I cut the globe using blue and the small continent pieces using brown.  I attached the continent pieces to the globe using glossy accents. I cut the longitudinal grid using gold foil paper and a Stick It backing and attached it to the globe. The globe stand was also cut using gold foil paper.I cut the globe using blue and the small continent pieces using brown.  I attached the continent pieces to the globe using glossy accents. I cut blue and gold matting layers using the 1/16” edge, cutting mat and my craft knife.  I was really excited that I got them cut so perfectly straight. I cut the long blue and gold layers using the 1/8” edge, attached them together with ATG adhesive and attached them directly to the card base with ATG adhesive. I attached the globe layers together with ATG and attached it to the card base with mounting tape. The globe stand was attached to the matted layer with rolled up double stick tape and the globe was attached with mounting tape.  The sentiment was stamped on the card base with versafine and embossed with gold embossing powder.  Am I the only stupid person who would wait to stamp the sentiment on the card base once the the card was totally assembled?????

  3. A great card Kittie. I have been wanting this Perfect Layers tool since I first saw it, unfortunately my budget does not match my “wants”! I cannot cut straight either. I sometimes try to lay the blame on my cutter too but I do know the truth! LOL

  5. I saw the Perfect Layers on your project yesterday or the day before. I was so interested I immediately went to order them; but, it took me a long time because I had to read about and understand them, lol. So, thank you for the heads up. Your card is wonderful, so perfect for a male. You know how hard they are to come by. The colors are oozing with joy. TFS.
