Good Saturday morning. Summer is almost here and I have a beach card to share with you today using the new Impression Obsession Shell Border with soft colors and a touch of sparkle and ocean surf.
I cut the shell border piece using cream colored cardstock. I applied Antique Linen and Worn Lipstick ink to the shells using a mini applicator. I used a very light touch when adding the ink to the shells to keep the colors soft. I applied the Antique Linen ink across the whole top portion of the beach area and created an uneven sandy border so I could create the ocean surf washing up on shore. I applied Tumbled Glass ink to create the surf water.
I used the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen to add some shimmer and sparkle to the sand and the shell border but it doesn’t show well in the photos. I applied Cosmic glitter glue to the water using my finger and then sprinkled with clear glitter. I heat set the glue and glitter and then applied the white embossing paste with my finger along the surf’s edges to create the appearance of foam. I finished by adding the Salt Life sentiment. I used the same soft blue paper for the sentiment that I used for the card base.
Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend. I’m sure looking forward to three days off from work.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”
