Good Wednesday morning. My project today was created using the brand new Color Trend from Ellen Hutson LLC, the Quietude Color Palette.
I used several colors from the color palette to create a fun summer scene card made using the Essentials by Ellen Beach Lady and Pattern Play. I used the Impression Obsession All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2.
The Framed Background
I hand cut two sections of cardstock using my deckle scissors to create layers of sand. I applied Antique Linen ink to the layers using a mini applicator, then applied glue and clear glitter to add a sparkle to the sand. The two frame layers were attached together using double stick tape and then both sand layers were attached to the back of the frame with double tick tape. I finished by applying thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it over the blue sentiment layer.
The Beach Lady and Accessories
I stamped the lady on hot press watercolor paper and all the accessories and the lady’s dress on white cardstock. I used black versafine ink to stamp the images and then embossed her with clear embossing powder. I used reinkers and a watercolor brush to color the lady skin and hair. I applied purple ink to the pattern stamp using a marker and stamped the image on the dress. I colored in the flowers using a rose pink marker. All the accessories were colored with the pink and purple markers. I hand cut all the images and paper pieced the dress. The hat and towel were attached to the lady’s hand using glossy accents. The shells were attached to the basket using glossy accents. The lady and accessories were attached to the scene using pieces of mounting tape. I finished the scene with a few shore birds.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Beach Lady project and I sure do appreciate you coming by.
