Make Some Western Themed Greeting Cards!

Here’s another one of my western themed greeting cards – check out that big fella!

I’ve been on a handmade western themed greeting cards kick lately thanks to the new dies we just released in my Kittie Kraft by Rubbernecker collection. We felt like there hadn’t been enough attention paid to the gorgeous, rich, still often wild scenes of the West so we made sure we addressed that with the new, fun dies. Including the animals that are just so iconic to that part of our country one of whom stars on this card!

  • Cut one mountain layer using green cardstock and a second layer using white cardstock.
  • Apply brown and orange ink to the white mountain layer using a large blender brush.
  • Attach the brown mountain to the card base using ATG adhesive along the bottom and a few tiny pop dots along the top.
  • Use ATG adhesive and tiny pop dots to attach the green mountain layer to the card base.

Grass and Trees

  • Use green cardstock to cut two grass layers and two sets of grass sprigs.
  • Cut the pine trees using green cardstock.
  • Attach small pieces of mounting tape to the back of the trees, tuck them in behind the green mountain and attach to the card base.
  • Apply ATG adhesive to one grass layer and attach it to the green mountain layer.
  • Apply a strip of mounting tape to the front grass section and attach it to the card base.
  • Tuck the grass sprigs in behind the grass layers and attach using glossy accents.
