I am betting this off set pin wheel cover die will become a card making game changer!
When I first saw this new off set pin wheel cover die from Rubbernecker – I will be honest! – I thought “Meh – not that exciting”. Boy was I mistaken! Just LOOK at what that single die cut does to this card! The little center circle forms the perfect “stage” for whatever element you want to call attention to. And I have really come to appreciate how those gentle curves of the different sections adds just enough visual movement to a project, again calling even more attention to whatever sits at the center. Let me show you how I created this card so you can try it out once you get your hands on this versatile die.
For this project I used the newly released Off Set Pin Wheel Cover, Stackable Flowers/Leaves, Tiny Flowers #2 paired with the Branches and Leaves, Organic Shapeable Daisy (foliage) and the sentiment from the Kittie Says Phrases #1 set. You can, of course, use any flower die you love OR substitute any die cut focal element that speaks to you.

Card Base and Off Set Pin Wheel Cover Die Cut
- Cut an A2 sized card base using purple cardstock.
- Use white cardstock to cut the Off Set Pin Wheel.
- Turn the pin wheel die cut face down on the desk top and remove all the large white sections.
- Use double stick tape to secure all the thin white sections in place. NOTE: I especially love that Rubbernecker designed this off set pin wheel cover die to offer THREE different cuts – the whole “frame” piece, the large center sections and the narrow borders. This gives you LOADS of mix and match opportunities and even when you use each of these elements as a separate group, you end up with gorgeous designs!
- Apply strips of mounting tape to the frame and inner sections of the pin wheel and attach it to the card base.
Flowers and Foliage
- Use purple cardstock to cut the Stackable Flowers and Tiny Flowers #2.
- Place the large flower sections face down on the molding pad, push down and roll over the petals to form them.
- Turn the flower sections face up and push down in the center of each to pull the petals up.
- Use glossy accents to attach the flower sections together making sure to offset each layer for a natural looking flower.
- Place all the tiny flowers face up on the molding pad and form them by pushing down in the flower centers using a small tipped stylus.
- Use green cardstock to cut two sections of the foliage from the Organic Shapeable Daisy and three sections of the Branches and Leaves.
Flowers and Foliage Arrangement
- Attach the large flower to the center of the pin wheel using glossy accents.
- Tuck the two larger sections of foliage from the daisy set under the large flower and secure them in place using glossy accents.
- Begin tucking the smaller branches under flower and attach them using glossy accents. Pro Tip: The smaller branches of foliage soften the arrangement for a feminine look.
- Apply the tiny flowers to the foliage sections using glossy accents.
- Finish by stamping the sentiment with black ink on a white strip of paper, trim it and tuck the end under the flower and attach using glossy accents.
