See how you can make this cute handmade card for an artist with a new die set.
I can’t get over the adorable details on this cute handmade card for an artist. I also can’t get over how easy this was to make using the Art Set dies from Rubbernecker – everything is built right in to the die set! I set my little elements in a frame made with their Window with Pierce die and added some instant texture in the background with their Diamond Pierced Cover die. So easy, so fast and yet SO detailed!
It’s almost embarrassing to call these the “directions” because honestly, all you do is cut the little elements from scraps of card stock, color them up and then adhere everything together. You can make this even faster and easier by using scraps of colored card stock for your details. I love to color but I do know it’s not for everyone so you do you and you will end up with something just as adorable!
Card Base and Window Frame
- Use white cardstock to cut an A2 sized card base and the Diamond Pierced Cover.
- Apply ATG adhesive to the back of the cover and attach it to the card base.
- Use yellow cardstock to cut the Window with Pierce, apply strips of mounting tape to the back and attach it to the card base.
The Art Set
- Cut all the Art Set paints, markers, ink bottle and pen using white cardstock.
- Color all the parts and pieces of the set using markers. Note: I used Copic markers but water based markers would work just fine as well.
- Use Kraft cardstock to cut the two palettes.
- Assemble all the pieces for the paint tubes, ink bottle and markers and attach them together using connect glue.
- Attach the tiny paint spots to the palettes using connect glue.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape and/or connect glue to all the pieces, arrange and attach them to the card base and window frame.
That’s all there is – so easy, so cute and just perfect for that artist friend you want to acknowledge in this special way. Here’s all you will need from Rubbernecker:

This idea for a super cute handmade card for an artist would also make the cutest invitation to a girl’s night out at an art spot, as a thank you to someone who used their artistic talents to do something special for you or even as a sweet card to those young artist-wanna be kids for a birthday. However you use it, you have to admit, it’s SO adorable!
