Come see how easy it is to create an Autumn leaves scene card with the newly released Brass and Bliss Tree Cover along with a few accompanying dies.
I love making Autumn scene cards each year. The newly released Brass and Bliss Tree Cover gave me the perfect opportunity . Along with the Small Wheelbarrow, Garden Tools, Tiny Leaves #1, Classic Tabbed Grass and New Farm Animals I was able to create this colorful dimensional scene. I’m sharing a few pictures showing some of the steps I used for this card. I always like to share steps like this for new crafters who are just getting started.
I like to use wet baby wipes and ink to cover large dies like the Tree Cover. The ink spreads on quickly and can easily be dried with the heat gun to get ready for the next steps.
Strips of mounting tape were applied around the frame border and to a few key spots will help create dimension when added to the card base. Pro Tip: The two pieces of mounting tape on the branch area will keep them from collapsing in on the card base.
I attached the back grass layer to the mounting tape so it could be attached directly to the card base. You can easily attach it directly to the base first if you wish.
I attached the tree cover to the card base and then attached the front grass layer using mounting tape.
This picture shows the dimension. I think dimension creates a much more interesting project.
Attach leaves to the back of the wheelbarrow.
Continue adding layers of leaves to fill the wheelbarrow as high as you want. Pro Tip: I waited to attach the frame and wheel so they wouldn’t get in the way while attaching the leaves.
Attach as many leaves to the tree branches and ground area as you like. Add a garden rake and a squirrel along with the wheelbarrow for the perfect finishing touch.
Here are the items used to make this project.
