Come see two different cards using the new Floral Corner Inlay die from the Brass and Bliss “Botanical Daydreams” March release. Be sure to check out the complete release to see all the new products.
Today I’m sharing two different ways to use the floral inlay die to make quick work of adding interest to your card front. This die can be used alone with a simple sentiment or dressed up with additional elements.
I chose to use flowers on both. To make these cards I used the Floral Corner Inlay, Foliage Trio, Mixable Flower Stack, Fall Foliage(second card), Thankful For You Stamps and Thankful For You Coordinating Dies,
Open Floral Corner Inlay
- Cut an A2 colored card base and a 5.25″ x 4.00″white layer for the inside.
- Place the red base on the cutting platform and cut the inlay.
- Attach the white layer on the inside using Nuvo glue.
Flower Arrangement and Sentiment
- Cut three flowers and a foliage section.
- Apply pieces of mounting tape to the back of the foliage leaves and attach it to the card base.
- Attach the three flowers to the card base sing small pieces of mounting tape.
- Use the large negative cutouts from the die for the flower centers.
- Stamp the sentiment and cut it out with the coordinating die.
- Attach it to the card base using a piece of mounting tape.
Closed Floral Corner Inlay
- Cut a white A2 sized card base and a colored 5.25″ x 4.00″ layer.
- Place the layer on the cutting platform and cut out the inlay.
- Apply Nuvo glue to the back of the layer and attach it to the card base.
Floral Arrangement
- Cut three sections of flowers using the two largest dies in the set.
- Place the flowers face down on the molding pad and roll a large round stylus over each petal.
- Turn the flowers face up on the pad and push down in the centers using a tiny tipped stylus.
- Attach the flower sections together using glossy accents and attach them to the card base using glossy accents.
- Cut sections of foliage and tuck them under and around the flowers to finish the arrangement.
