Make a whimsical basket card with ducks perfect for baby cards or a child’s birthday.
Have you had a chance to check out the new Brass and Bliss “Petals and Promises” April release? There are so many beautiful products to play with and everything is 20% off. I had lots of fun making this whimsical card with a basket full of ducks. My goal was to highlight the new Wicker Basket and paired it with the Framed Tag, Small Butterflies. Spring Ducks, Grass #2, Classic Grass and Spring Garden Starter Set.
Card Base, Grass and Frame
- Cut an A2 sized card base using white cardstock and apply a light shade of blue ink with a blending brush to create the sky background.
- Use mustard cardstock to cut the Framed Tag and green cardstock to cut grass sections.
- Apply one grass layer to the back of the frame using double stick tape.
- Apply mounting tape around the back border of the frame and grass layer and attach it to the card base.
Basket with Ducks
- Cut the basket sections with aqua cardstock and attach the sections together using Nuvo glue. Set the basket handle aside.
- Attach two layers of grass to the back of the basket using double stick tape.
- Cut the ducks using yellow, white and aqua cardstock and assemble the sections together using Nuvo glue.
- Tuck the ducks in between the grass layers and attach using pieces of mounting tape.
- Cut several stems using green cardstock and dark pink cardstock to cut the tiny flowers and butterflies.
- Use Nuvo glue to attach the flowers to the stems and tuck them around the ducks in the basket and along the grass border.
- Attach the tiny butterflies to the base to complete the scene.
There are lots of details on the basket card with ducks but it was really easy to make. Here are links to all the products that I used.
