Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession Design Team “Party Time” challenge. I think I may be showing my age because when I saw the theme of our challenge all I could think of was “Tea Party Time”. I guess you now know that I’m not a wild party girl. LOL! I decided to create a card with my Tea Set and place it in the Large Window and pairing it with a pretty bendi valance made using the Border Duo 1, a vase of roses made using the Vase Set, Leaves and Stems and Spiral Flowers, and tiny scalloped edged napkins. I used coordinating sheets of Beau Jardin designer paper.
I cut the window and attached the window pane sections together with the outer frame of the paper with double stick tape. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the window and attached it to the card base. The valance was cut just a tad less than 1/8” wider than the normal 4.25” width so I could bow it slightly above the window and attached on both sides with thin strips of mounting tape.
I applied versa to the top of the teapot and spoons and embossed with gold embossing powered. I used my versa marker to add a little strip of versa to the teapot base and embossed with gold embossing powder. The teabags were attached to the back of the cups with glue dots. The pot and cups were attached to the window with mounting tape. I rolled tiny roses, attached them to foliage stems and attached them to the back of the vase to create my bud vase arrangements. The vase was attached to the card base with mounting tape.
The napkins were attached with glue dots and the little gold spoons were attached with glossy accents. I small leaf cluster and rose were attached to the teapot for the finishing touch.
Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession Blog (all the details are there!).
