Bird Branch

My project is based on today’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge.  I chose to work with Rubbernecker’s Bird Branch from the Stamp Oasis Outdoor collection. I used water based markers to color the branch and bird and then sprayed with water and stamped on watercolor paper. I used blender pens and watercolor brushes to smooth out the images and then went back over then with markers to add back texture and definition. I used a green and brown artist pen to add more definition back to the images. I used markers to hand sketch additional branches on the second layer and used the same technique described for the main image to add definition.  I sponged scattered straw over the images to highlight and to bring them more to life. I chose to use artichoke green and close to cocoa cardstock for layering on saffron. This was fun to work on.
