Easter Bonnet

I love to paint with bright and cheery colors.  The Easter season certainly give lots of opportunity. I chose to do one more fun card with this "Chic Chick" from Rubbernecker’s Easter Collection before the holiday passes.  Isn’t she cute with her bonnet full of brightly colored flowers and her wish for a happy Easter.

I stamped the image with Brilliance Black on watercolor paper and then again on a scrap of watercolor paper so I could cut out the hat flowers and the sign to pop up.  I don’t this shows on the photo.  I painted the images with reinkers and a Copic marker,  I used small sponge daubers to sponge in the olive and yellow background colors. I just realized I didn’t get the olive ink in the photo below.  I used some retired SU designer paper to layer with and two of my Nestabilities dies to cute the plain and scalloped ovals. I thought grosgrain ribbon would look cute flowing from her bonnet.  I used glue dots to hold the swirls in place. I used my new Inkssentials white opaque pen that I got at the Ranger booth when I was out at CHA to make the dots on the turquoise scallops. What a fun girl she is to play with. I can picture her sitting in church holding her hymnal and singing away on Easter morning.
