The Ways to Use It challenge today on SCS is to use rub-ons transfers. I have never purchased rub-ons so I created my own by printing my sentiment with my label maker. I used a darling girl image from Rubbernecker- KK Originals. I stamped the center girl on watercolor paper with Brilliance black, masked her and stamped the two additional girls to create a group of friends. I love their hats and curly hair. I colored with a brush and reinkers. I had an idea they would look sweet with scallops, eyelet and dotted swiss. I cut the scalloped layer with my decorative scissors and then pierced with a needle to create the eyelet trim. I cut the girls out to pop up over the dotted swiss background and layered the eyelet layer over top embellished with pink polka-dot ribbon. I used Nestabilities to create the little scalloped oval sentiment tag. This is not really my norm but I really enjoyed creating such a brightly dressed group of friends.
