Little Lovin’s Kids-Annie

The Color Challenge on SCS today was to use Real Red, Regal Rose and So Saffron.  I decided to play with Rubbernecker's Annie from the Little Lovin's Kids collection. I stamped her on watercolor paper with versafine black and watercolored her with reinkers.  Wow!  regal rose reinker is so vibrant that it came out very red so I ended up coloring all of her clothes red.  I redid her head and scarf area and painted lightly with regal rose and added red polka dots. I cut it out and popped over the image. Brother!!  This may be one of my all time strangest cards.  Annie is really cute though. I sponged caramel around the beach area and masked off the water line to create an ocean in the background.  I finished off the sky with a sponge and cloud template. I added Diamond Glaze to the beach ball to make it look rubbery.

  1. Hi Kittie. Very cute card. This color challenge seems a bit sensitive to choices made in putting the card together. Yours looks great. Some of the ones I have seen are very cute cards but they seem to be suffering from poor use of color. I am not quite sure how that can be since the colors are all the same. Hmm, I will have to ponder that. But there is no pondering Annie, she’s a beauty!
