Mini Trees

The Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS today is to use mini stamps, mini embellishments, books, etc.  I chose to work with one of my newly released Kittie Kits Rubbernecker Accessories sets. The Moose Is Loose.  I love the evergreens in this set and they are small enough to create really beautiful scenes.  Even mini ones.  I decided to do my scene on a 3″ x 3″ piece of watercolor paper so you could see how really mini the trees are.  I used three different size trees to create an interesting little forest. I stamped the images with black Versafine and watercolored with Wasabi reinker. I sponged on Bashful Blue for the sky area and finished with a small amount of Banana around the tree to highlight them. I applied Liquid Applique to the base of the scene , trees and dabbed lightly with my finger to spread and heated.  I added little dabs of Liquid Applique in the sky for falling snow. This completeda beautiful snowy scene. I thought the scene would look lovely on a plain piece of Vanilla cardstock embellished only with the satin ribbon.  It is so terribly hot in Florida today I thought I could cool off to play with a little snow.

I haven’t been able to stamp the last few days as I have had lots going on at work.  Darn that job interfering with my stamping. I always get a little shakey with I don’t stamp for more than a day or two.

  1. Stunning Kittie! This is so soft and pretty and really conveys the look of a cold snowy day. Beautiful. I don’t have your accessory kits yet, but I will be getting one (or maybe two, or three…) soon.
