I think this little skater is so adorable. She is from the Rubbernecker North Pole Collection -When at First You Don't Succeed.
I stamped the snowman and little girl on scrap watercolor paper, painted and cut out and set aside. I stamped the trees with Olive Green Stazon and then did a water wash over the watercolor paper to prepare it for watercolor the sky and icy pond. I brushed Distress Faded Jeans mixed with water over the sky area and added a small amount of Scattered Straw to add light around the trees for highlight. I brushed a watery Black Soot mixture for the ice. I spread Liquid Applique' around the ground area with an old beat up brush, heated and then added white embossing powder to coat and seal. I dabbed on the little falling snowflakes using a small brush and white craft ink. I sponged versa direct to paper over the ice and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I applied the little snowman in the background and then popped up the little skater. What a fun project.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that you don't work too hard preparing for Christmas.
