Wacky Wednesday #4

Wacky Wednesday Button Broni is hosting the Rubbernecker Wacky Wednesday challenge this week. Her challenge for us is to make an Easter card for a child.  I hope you will click on the link and see how you can win a 25% off coupon to use on your next Rubbernecker purchase.

I got a little side tracked on this challenge and thought it would be fun for my project to create a cute basket for a child. We all know that kids love candy, especially at Easter time.  I stopped on my way home last night and got a bag of the pastel M&M peanuts that look like little eggs. I knew they would be the perfect size for the mini basket.

KC Hopping Chick This little basket is very easy to make. I printed out the base template on pink cardstock and the liner template on regular white printer paper.  I cut and scored both pieces and put together. I left all four edges on the liner about a ½ inch larger than the template pattern so there would be a large enough room to punch the eyelet border and still have plenty of liner showing over the side of the basket. I stamped and painted my little Hopping Chick from the Rubbernecker Spring Pals collection and cut out with snips to attach to the side of the basket. I didn’t think a ribbon or any other embellishment was necessary with this project with the grass and eggs. Claire Brennan shared this template on SCS and you can find it here.

Don’t forget to check out what the other DT members have created for this challenge.
